Experience Terry Meyer is an independent consultant, academic, author and presenter. He has a Masters of Management Degree from Wits Business School. His areas of expertise include strategy and organisational design, leadership and leadership development, change facilitation and human capital strategy with a specific emphasis on talent management and leadership development. As a Consultant of 20 years’ experience he works at Executive levels facilitating solutions to organisational problems. His more recent consulting experience has involved:
He has recently been appointed to the Global OD Faculty of Barclays Plc. to assist in the leadership development and culture change in that organisation. On the Academic front, Terry was a full time Faculty member of Wits Business School for 8 years where he taught organisational behaviour and was responsible for the highly regarded Master of Management in HR Programme. He is currently Programme Director for the HR Executive Leadership Programme run by Stellenbosch Business School and which he was responsible for designing. He also runs the Wits Business School International Executive L&D Study Tour where he leads a number of senior HR and L&D professionals to engage with top global companies and Business Schools in the US and Europe.
He previously lectured on the UNISA SBL Executive Development Programme. He has played a leadership role as a professional. He was a Board member of the IPM on two occasions and was instrumental in facilitating the turnaround strategy of the IPM in 2007 and 8. He is registered as a Master HR Professional with the SABPP. He has received a number of professional awards, including the IPM Presidential Award in 2008, an award at the International HRD Congress in Mumbai in 2009 and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the SABPP in 2012. Terry has the ability to blend extensive academic thought leadership with his practical experience in a corporate role and as a consultant. He is considered a leading thinker and advisor in his various fields of expertise. His primary theoretical basis is grounded in systems thinking and he has the ability to approach organizational problem solving from a multi-disciplinary perspective. |
