Nomali has tailored her professional focus as an independent Industrial Psychologist in the talent and change management, and learning and development fields. Areas of interest that she has been engaged in, include, development of leadership competency and leadership pipeline programs; succession management; career development; change management; team optimisation, and psychological assessment.
Nomali’s career path and organizational exposure spans across academic, state owned, public sector and private entities. She established footprints in the academic field teaching industrial psychology, and was also involved in academic administration at University of North West (Formerly Unibo). She championed restructuring, change and transformation initiatives for the public service while serving as a Provincial Service Commissioner. She positioned talent and change management strategy to support effective implementation of the turnaround program at Transnet Freight Rail. This included change support for process optimization. Vodacom provided a platform to delve into the identification and development of leadership potential and talent within the global scale context. She was intricately involved in the successful roll-out of the talent review process within the Vodafone/Vodacom alignment program.
Nomali recently expanded her area of interest by serving as Industrial Psychologist expert for medico-legal assessments.
Nomali has more than 30 years of experience and has functioned at the operational and strategic levels in the areas of Talent Management, Organizational Development and Change Management, and Learning and Development spheres across a broad spectrum of organizational environments. This provides her with an enriched and blended view of the field and puts her in a good stead with regard to attaining a balanced approach on individual and organizational dynamics.
